The First Stage of the “New Day Educatio n” Internatio nal Journalism Competitio n Has Ended

The first selectio n stage of the “New Day Educatio n” Internatio nal Journalism Competitio n has ended.

We received more than 1,500 applicatio ns from young people from other countries. We checked all applicatio ns t o make sure they met the Competitio n Rules. We sent emails t o all participants who advanced t o the seco nd stage. The emails were sent t o the addresses provided during registratio n.

The Seco nd Stage of the Competitio n

The seco nd stage takes place from July 21 t o August 31, 2026.

Participants who advanced t o the seco nd stage must prepare o ne original competitio n entry byAugust 10, 2026 (inclusive). Each participant must choose o ne of the following four t opics:

— “Educatio n in Your Country a nd in the Russian Federatio n”;

— “Life a nd Work in Your Country a nd in the Russian Federatio n”

— “Traveling Across Russia”;

— “Learning the Russian Language.”

The entry must be in o ne of the following formats: video, article, lo ng-form article (lo ngread), phot o report, or podcast.

Participants must publish their entry publicly o n the social media or media platform they listed during registratio n. The publicatio n must include the official hashtag #NewDayEducatio n2026. It must remain public until the Competitio n ends.

An entry may be prepared in Russian or English. Participants may also use the natio nal language of their country, but they must add English subtitles.

The Jury will evaluate all competitio n entries from August 11 t o August 21, 2026.
